A Düsseldorf-based Deloitte Legal team led by Dr. Michael von Rüden (Partner) and Horst Heinzl (Counsel, both Corporate/M&A, Düsseldorf) advised Validatis GmbH on the acquisition of the business operations of Kerentia GmbH.
Kerentia GmbH is an AI fintech company that provides services and consulting, particularly in the areas of corporate finance, the digitalization of corporate processes and transactions, and the brokerage of loan and leasing agreements. It uses a specially developed AI analysis system for this purpose.
The buyer, Validatis GmbH, is part of the QUiNFOS Group, which in turn is part of the publishing and media group DuMont Mediengruppe. Under the QUiNFOS umbrella, DuMont combines customized sales solutions, digital compliance and practical specialist media as well as professional training for its customers. Validatis itself offers demand-oriented structuring of primary source data into reliable information to support its customer base in making well-founded decisions.
This strategic acquisition will enable the buyer to consistently integrate Kerentia's proprietary analysis system with the use of AI into the Validatis product range.
Deloitte Legal provided comprehensive legal advice to Validatis GmbH in connection with the transaction. The DuMont Media Group regularly relies on the advice of Deloitte Legal in its transactions.
