A Düsseldorf-based Deloitte Legal team co-led by Dr. Michael von Rüden (Partner) and Christoph Meves (Counsel, both Corporate/M&A, Düsseldorf) has advised Kloeckner Metals Germany GmbH on the acquisition of all limited partnership shares in Ambo-Stahl-Gesellschaft Gerhard Sevenich GmbH & Co. KG as well as all shares in Ambo-Stahl Handelsgesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung.

Ambo-Stahl-Gesellschaft Gerhard Sevenich GmbH & Co KG is one of the leading specialized distributors of special structural steel sheets, especially wear-resistant special structural steels and high-strength fine-grained structural steels. Its customers include the defense industry in particular, but also companies from the construction machinery, utility infrastructure and conveyor technology sectors.

The buyer, Kloeckner Metals Germany GmbH, is part of the listed Klöckner Group, which is managed by Klöckner & Co SE. With around 700 employees, Kloeckner Metals Germany GmbH is one of the leading metal processors in Germany. Kloeckner Metals Germany can draw on the global distribution and service network of the Klöckner Group, which serves over 60,000 customers worldwide. In the 2024 financial year, the Klöckner Group generated sales of EUR 6.6 billion.

With this strategic acquisition, Kloeckner Metals Germany is expanding its offering as a technology partner, particularly for its customers in the area of high-quality processing services for the defense and infrastructure sector.
