EU Data Act

The Data Act contains various, partly independent provisions set out across eleven chapters. For this reason, it is sometimes referred to as ‘several’ Data Acts. These provisions present both challenges and opportunities for a variety of organisations, and have potentially far-reaching consequences for both business models and operational processes. Organisations will need to adapt and adjust.

The very broad scope of the Data Act affects natural and legal persons in almost all conceivable sectors and industries (including manufacturing, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud services, transport, consumer goods and the public sector), while both private individuals and companies have the opportunity to benefit from its provisions.
