On June 7, 2023, the Pay Transparency Directive (2023/970/EU,
"EUPTD") came into force. The EUPTD, which must be transposed into
German law by June 2026, will bring about a comprehensive amendment to the Pay Transparency Act.
A central aspect of the reform is the expansion of reporting requirements: In the future, all companies with at least 100 employees will be required to disclose itemized information on equal pay. While the current German Pay Transparency Act (EntgTranspG) only requires general information on the promotion of equality and equal pay, the EU directive introduces mandatory disclosure of specific pay indicators, including four different gender pay gap indicators.
In our webcast, we provide an update on selected market-related
measures for implementing the EUPTD and examine the expansion of reporting requirements in detail. We also present the results of a recent Deloitte study that examines, among other things, gender-specific pay differences in capital market-oriented companies.
