Dr. Michael Fischer is a lawyer who has worked at Deloitte Legal since early 2015. He is the head of the Munich office and, alongside Alexander Georg Fischer, leads the China Desk at Deloitte Legal. He has over 30 years' experience in providing ongoing and transaction-related corporate legal consultancy services. He works on national and cross-border M&A and joint venture mandates, as well as restructuring mandates and complex contractual matters such as strategic alliances. He specialises in private client legal services for medium-sized companies and their entrepreneurs, offering support on a wide range of interface issues (such as succession). Prior to joining Deloitte as a partner, he was a partner and co-founder of the German practice of a US law firm, and a partner in the legal advisory arm of another Big Four firm (Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young/EY, respectively). He began his legal career in the Berlin and Munich offices of what is now Linklaters. He has been listed by Handelsblatt ('Germany's Best Lawyers') and Best Lawyers Germany for over ten years in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions law, and private equity law. He speaks German and English.
