Jakob Seydel joined Deloitte Legal as a Senior Associate in August 2025, advising national and international clients on all areas of dispute resolution as well as corporate, commercial, and general civil law issues.
A key focus is also on handling both judicial and extrajudicial proceedings for the enforcement of claims or defense against claims made against his clients. As a mediator, alternative dispute resolution procedures are also part of his work.
Before joining Deloitte Legal, he worked for several years in a Magic Circle law firm in the field of dispute resolution.
Jakob Seydel studied at the universities of Trier and Münster. He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Hamm. He earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution in London.
Jakob speaks German and English and is a member of the German Institution for Arbitration (DIS40).
