Janina Schmitt has joined Deloitte Legal in May 2025 as Senior Associate and is based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
She is a member of the International Service Line Corporate/M&A and specialized in advising on corporate and transformation law, with a particular focus on national and cross-border M&A and PE transactions as well as carve-out projects.
Janina Schmitt studied law with an integrated bachelor’s degree in business law (LL.B.) at the University of Mannheim and spent two semesters abroad at the University Toulouse I Capitole in France.
She completed her legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Stuttgart, including a stage at a Franco-German law firm in Paris.
Since her admission to the bar in 2021, Janina Schmitt has worked in two business law firms in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt, where she obtained her specialist title in commercial and corporate law (Fachanwalt für Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht).
She speaks German, English and French.
