Jannik Piepenburg has been an associate at Deloitte Legal since March 2025. He advises German and international clients on banking and financial regulatory law. One focus of his advice is on business models in connection with distributed ledger technology (DLT) resp. blockchain as well as digital assets.
Jannik Piepenburg completed his law studies at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg with semesters abroad in China and England.
He then worked as a research assistant at a chair specializing in criminal capital markets law. During this time, he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.oec.) and wrote a dissertation (Dr.iur.) on the subject of “crypto trading and market abuse”.
He completed his legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court of Hamburg in 2024. During this time, he worked for a leading national law firm in financial services regulatory, the Federal Ministry of Finance and for a FinTech.
