Recommendations

On the Modernization of German Arbitration Law

In April 2023, the Federal Ministry of Justice (BMJ) published a White Paper on the modernization of German arbitration law. The modernization of the statutory provisions on arbitration law in German Code of Civil Procedure is intended to strengthen Germany as an arbitration location overall.

Commercial Courts

Germany as place of jurisdiction is to become more popular as a forum for international commercial disputes. To this end, the German Federal Ministry of Justice is planning to introduce and expand commercial courts and commercial chambers at German courts.
